Q. Is the rate for per room or per person basis?

The rates shown are always quoted based on Per Room Per Night basis (unless stated otherwise). 

For apartments, the rates quoted will be based on Per Apartment Per Night basis (unless stated otherwise).



Q. What currency is the room rate quoted in?

Generally, the rate is quoted in the hotel local currency. i.e INRS (India Rupees) and USD (U.S. Dollar).

Q. What is the difference between the following room types and occupancy - Single, Twin, Double, Triple, Family, Quad, Suite, Apartments?

The information below served as a general guide. Some accommodation may have different occupancy level. Please check the hotel web page for further details. 

Hotel Room Types
Single - Room has 1 single bed, strictly for 1 adult only. No Extra bed is possible.

Twin - Room has 2 single beds to accommodate 2 adults. The third adults will require an extra bed.

Double - Room has either 1 Queen or King sized bed to accommodate 2 adults. The third adults will require an extra bed.

Double for Single Use - Room has either 1 Queen or King sized bed to accommodate 1 adult only.

Triple - Room has either 3 Single Beds, or 1 Queen Bed and 1 Single Bed, or equivalent to accommodate 3 adults.

Family / Quad - Room has either 4 single beds, or 1 Queen and 2 Single Beds, or equivalent to accommodate 4 adults. Typically, no extra bed is possible.

Junior Suite / Suite - Bedroom and a small living room to accommodate 2 adults, unless specify otherwise. The third adults will require an extra bed.

Extra Bed - Roll-Away bed to accommodate 1 person.

Hotel Apartments / Serviced Apartments Types
1 Bedroom Apartment - 1 Bedroom with a small living room, kitchenette and 1 toilet to accommodate  2 adults, unless specify otherwise. The third adults will require an extra bed.

2 Bedroom Apartment - 2 Bedrooms with a living room, kitchenette and 1 toilet to accommodate 4 adults, unless specify otherwise. The fifth adults will require an extra bed.

3 Bedroom Apartment - 3 Bedrooms with a living room, kitchenette and 1 toilet to accommodate 6 adults, unless specify otherwise. The seventh adults will require an extra bed.



Q. What is the difference between these room categories - Standard, Superior and Deluxe?
This varies from hotel to hotel. Generally, the main difference lies in the room area space.

The Standard Room has smaller area space as compared to the Superior and Deluxe Room. As such, some hotels can only accommodate additional beds in the Superior and Deluxe Rooms.



Q. Is breakfast included in the room rate?
If the hotel offers breakfast, it will be stated under the section Rates are inclusive of.



Q. Do children stay for free?

Please refer to the Hotel Child Policy under the Terms and Conditions section. It will state if your children can stay for free or will be charged as adult. 



Q. Is Tax and Service Charge included in the rates?

If the hotel rate is inclusive of Tax, it will be shown under the section Rates are inclusive of.



Q. Do you offer further discounts for travel industry staffs, students and senior citizens?

As Stayingat rates are already discounted, no additional discount is possible.


Q. Is the room I wish to book available?
Hotel room availability is indicated under the hotel rates section.
Other than the Fully Booked Dates shown, there are limited vacancies for all the other dates. Confirmation is subject to availability at time your reservation request is processed.
If no Fully Booked Dates shown, there are limited vacancies available for all dates.


Q. Can you guarantee availability for a particular date? As we process reservations requests on first come first served basis, we cannot guarantee availability during your enquiry. We can only confirm availability after your reservation is processed.




Q. How do I make a reservation?
Step 1 : Firstly, select the hotel you wish to book.

Step 2 : Fill in your particulars as required by the form. 

Step 3 : Click on the Reserve button. 
You will see the Thank You page once your details are successfully transmitted to Stayingat Reservation Officers. 

Subsequently, we will email to notify that we are currently processing your reservation request. Once your reservation is confirmed, we will email the confirmation details.



Q. Please explain fields required in the Reserve Form.

Please read Stayingat Privacy Statement in regards to your personal details.

Name
. Your name as appeared in your passport. If you are booking more than 1 room, please provide names for the other rooms in the Comments box.

Telephone. Telephone number. We will only call if your Email contact is unreachable.

Fax. This field is optional. We will only fax if your Email contact is unreachable.

Country of Residence. This field is optional. We will use the information in conjunction with your telephone or fax contact.

E-mail. We will use the Email provided for all correspondence. It's very important that you verify and ensure the email contact is correct.

Date of Arrival. The First day of your stay at the hotel.

Date of Departure. The Last day of your stay at the hotel. 

Number of Units/Rooms. Number of hotel rooms / apartment units required. Please select the correct room type / apartment type to accommodate everyone. 

Number of Adults. Number of adults staying in the room / apartment.

Number of Children. Number of children staying in the room / apartment

Age of Children. This is to determine if your children are eligible to stay for free according to the hotel Child Policy.

Comments. Please fill in the box if you have any special request. Request will be forwarded to the hotel. 

Stayingat cannot guarantee that your request will be met. Please leave this field blank for faster processing. 

If you are booking more than 1 room, please provide names for the other rooms in the Comments box.

Credit Card Details. We can only process reservation requests with credit card details. If you are faxing your credit card details, we will only start to process your reservation requests once we have received the details.



Q. Why do I have to submit my credit card details?
In order to secure your reservation, the hotel requires a credit card as guarantee. Your card will not be charged (subject to the individual hotel terms and conditions) and you will only pay upon arrival. 



Q. How long will it takeStayingat to respond to my reservation request?
Please allow 24 hours to process your request during weekdays (Monday to Friday) and 48 hours on weekends (Saturday and Sunday). Generally, we will be able to confirm your booking much earlier, depending on the hotel respond time.



Q. How do I know that my reservation is confirmed?

Upon confirmation,Stayingat will send you a confirmation email voucher stating the hotel address, telephone contact and your accommodation details. 

Please print this voucher to facilitate hassle free check-in.



Q.
I have submitted a reservation request with my credit card details. Why haven't I receive any reply or email confirmation?
Your email is probably incorrect or unreachable. In most circumstances, we will  attempt to call or fax a reply. 



Q. Is Prepayment required for reservation?
We have agreement with most hotels listed inStayingat for our guests to pay upon arrival.

However, prepayment may be required for certain Super Peak dates and for certain hotels. Please refer to the hotel Policy (under Terms and Conditions) to check if payment before arrival is required.



Q. Is Deposit required for reservation?
Most hotels inStayingat do not require deposit for making reservation. 

However, some hotels do have this requirement, especially for Super Peak dates. Please refer to the hotel Policy (under Terms and Conditions) to check if deposit is required.



What is the amendment policy for my booking?

Please refer to the hotel Cancel and Amend Policy (under Terms and Conditions). It states the number of days required before check-in for amendment.



Is there any penalty for late amendment?
Please refer to the hotel Cancel and Amend Policy (under Terms and Conditions). This varies from hotel to hotel. If you breach the Hotel Amend Policy, most hotels would charge your credit card, which is normally one night for every room booked.

Stayingat itself does not charge any penalties for reservations that are amended in any way.



How do I amend my reservation?
Send us a email or fax stating your original reservation details and your new reservation requirements. We will then process your amendment requests and will email once your amendment is confirmed.



Q. What is the cancel deadline for my booking?
Please refer to the hotel Cancel and Amend Policy (under Terms and Conditions). It states the number of days required before check-in.



Q. What is the cancel penalty?
This varies from hotel to hotel. If you breach the Hotel Cancel Policy, most hotels would charge your credit card, which is normally one night for every room booked. 

In certain cases, the hotel will forfeit the deposit.  Please refer to the Hotel Cancel Policy for further information.

Stayingat itself does not charge any penalties for reservations that are cancelled in any way.



Q. How do I cancel my reservation?
Send us a email or fax to cancel your reservation. Please note that we are unable to cancel booking through the telephone. This is to avoid any misunderstanding relating to your booking.



Q. What is the "No Show" penalty?
If you do not cancel your booking and fail to arrive at the hotel, your credit card will usually be charged one night for every room booked. Please refer to the Hotel Cancel Policy (under Terms and Conditions) for further information.
