This is a protected site and overlooks the Bor Pass that connects to the Konkan coast. There are two levels of this fort of which the higher one was used earlier as a watch tower and also called the Pandu's Tower. The Karnala Bird Sanctuary is best accessible from Panvel and is part of the fort here. It is home to nearly 150 species of birds and the migratory birds are seen in the winter.
